SLS Hub
All members of Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) are required to have an account through the SLS Hub Members Portal. The portal enables members to update their personal details, renew memberships, pay fees, apply for transfers, change passwords and where appropriate monitor patrol hours and awards. Please refer to the ‘how to guides’ below or contact the SLSA Helpdesk on 1300 724 006.

Membership Fees
Whether you are an active patroller, a nipper parent, an associate or active reserve, all membership types and their fees should be paid annually before October 31st.
To register for the upcoming season, and pay your membership fee, please login to the SLS Hub and follow these prompts.
Accessing Your Patrol Roster
Active Patrolling Members can access their upcoming patrol roster in the Patrols Menu of the SLS Hub.
Follow these steps to access your patrol roster and these steps to export a copy of your patrol roster into your Outlook or Google calendar.
Requesting / Accepting a Patrol Substitutions
At Tamarama, we use a pay-it-forward model for patrol substitutions. When you need a substitute, list your available sub in the SLS Hub AND pick up an already available sub request in the SLS Hub. Step-by-step process below:
- To request a patrol substitute
- Log into the SLS Hub
- On the dashboard - Navigate to the Patrols Menu
- Follow these steps to request a patrol substitute
- Once you've requested your substitute, pay-it-forward by accepting an available sub request
- Return to the SLS Hub Patrols Menu
- Select the Patrol Substitutes Needed Menu
- Follow these steps to accept an available sub request
- Post your available sub in the Tama Patrol Subs WhatsApp chat and confirm you've accepted an available sub request
For a sub to be visible to you:
- The other person must have listed the sub request in the portal
- You must be proficient in the award they are rostered for (eg. BM, FA, ART, IRBC, IRBD, PC) - please contact the Club's Vice-Captain of Lifesaving for manual patrol subs
If you need to cancel a substitution request, please follow these steps.
Reviewing Patrol Hours
Active patrolling members can monitor their recorded patrol hours via the SLS Hub. Any missing patrol hours should be reported to the Club's Vice-Captain of Lifesaving with 19 days of the patrol occurring.
Purchasing Replacement Keychain or New Wristband Fobs
- Login to the SLS Hub
- Under Memberships, select "View More"
- Under Organisations --> Tamarama --> Select "Make Payment"
- Under Transaction, select/enter the following:
- Transaction Type - "Club Key"
- Payment Description - either "Keychain Fob" or "Wristband Fob"
- Amount - "$40"
- Click Next
- Enter your payment information where requested
- Once the payment has been processed you will receive an email receipt. Please forward a copy of the receipt to our Club Caretaker, Cc'ing our Club Registrar, to arrange a collection time.
Medallion Replacement
Misplaced your medallion? Follow these easy steps to order a replacement via SLSNSW:
- Compile the following information:
- Member Name
- Award Type (e.g. Bronze Medallion)
- Date Award Obtained - check the My Awards section under Education in the SLS Hub
- Compose an email to the SLSNSW Education Team that includes the following:
- Member Name, Award Type, Date Obtained
- Delivery Address
- Invoice Payee Name (Note: payment for replacement medallions is the responsibility of the member/requestor)
- SLSNSW will issue an invoice for payment and ship your replacement medallion. Orders are processed at end of month and production/shipping can take 3-4 weeks.
