Clubhouse Bookings for Members

Our clubhouse is the heart of our community - a lively hub where lifesavers, members, and locals come together for training, connection, and celebration. To keep everything running smoothly, our Events Team coordinates club operations, events and exercises to make sure our spaces are always ready to enjoy.

To request a booking for club or private use, simply follow the steps below that match your event type - your enquiry will be reviewed (in consultation with the Management Committee) and responded to within two working days.

For Club Use

Book the club for any club-related activities including education and training sessions (eg SRC training, bronzies, proficiency festivals), social gatherings (eg fundraisers, awards nights, nipper parents' dinners etc.), informal drinks (eg post-patrol, end of season) and committee meetings.

Club Social & Wellbeing Events

Club Social & Wellbeing Events include gatherings for members and their guests only (not general public). Includes but is not limited to end of season parties, award nights, fundraisers, wellbeing initiatives and nipper parent gatherings.

  • For large groups (Up to 120 people)
  • Available in The Terrace or The Members’ Lounge (depending on the nature of the event)
  • Up to 6 hours, including setup and packdown
  • Events must finish by 11pm
  • Food and drinks welcome
  • Alcohol may be served or sold
  • If alcohol served, must be held on weekend or public holiday, licensee must be present and alcohol must be served by RSA-holding staff and police notification, local council and L&G approval required
  • Active member to act as an Event Supervisor
  • President approval by resolution required (via Events Manager)
  • Must be booked in at least 14 days prior

Club Informal Drinks

Club Informal Drinks include surf life saving associated gatherings for Club Members. Includes but is not limited to post-patrol drinks or end-of-season BBQs.

  • For small groups (1 - 30 people)
  • Available in The Terrace or The Members’ Lounge
  • Up to 3 hours, including setup and packdown
  • Food and drinks welcome; BYO permitted
  • May be relocated or cancelled if the venue is required for private hire or operational reasons
  • Active member to act as an Event Supervisor
  • Event Manager approval required

Club Education & Training

Club Education & Training events include surf life saving associated training and education events for Club Members and the broader community. Includes but is not limited to Bronzies, Nippers and SRC training sessions, proficiency assessments, dry skills training, first aid training, ART training and more.

  • Available in The Terrace or The Members’ Lounge
  • Up to 8 hours, including setup and packdown
  • Max 125 people (members only)
  • Food and drinks permitted; alcohol must be secondary to the meeting purpose
  • Organised by an office bearer
  • Supervised by a nominated member
  • Event Manager approval required

Club Meetings

Club Meetings include workshops for various TSLSC and SLS committee groups. Includes but is not limited to management committee meetings, strategy sessions, and SLS women’s network meetings.

  • Available in The Terrace or The Members’ Lounge
  • Up to 4 hours, including setup and packdown
  • Max 30 people (members or associates)
  • Food and drinks permitted; alcohol must be secondary to the meeting purpose
  • Organised by an office bearer
  • Supervised by a nominated member
  • Event Manager approval required

For Private Use

Book the club for your next private event including casual BBQs and drinks, birthday celebrations, weddings and engagement parties and family gatherings and celebrations.

Private Hire

Private Hires are exclusive bookings for larger private event with family, friends, or colleagues. Ideal for weddings, milestone birthdays, and celebrations of life.

  • For large groups (31 - 120 people)
  • Available in The Terrace or The Members’ Lounge
  • Up to 6 hours, excluding setup and packdown
  • Food and drinks welcome
  • Externally-sourced liquor licence required
  • Hire fees apply (members receive a 20% discount)
  • Hire fees include an Event Supervisor
  • Event Manager approval required

Member Moments

Member Moments are small gatherings of members and their family and friends - not related to surf life saving activities. Perfect for birthday drinks, BBQs with friends, family occasions and more.

  • For small groups (1 - 30 people)
  • Available in The Terrace or The Members’ Lounge
  • Up to 4 hours, including setup and packdown
  • Food and drinks welcome
  • No hire fees for members
  • May be relocated or cancelled if the venue is required for private hire or operational reasons
  • Active member to act as an Event Supervisor
  • Event Manager approval required
