Compete for Tamarama

Tamarama supports members in entering a broad range of surf and beach events when representing the club at any level.

Carnivals

Surf carnivals pit mate against mate, club against club, state against state, in a quest for sporting supremacy. In the past Tamarama has competed at branch, state, national, and international, level in these events.

Currently we are looking for competitors in

  • Swimming
  • Beach Relay, Sprint, and Flags
  • Board and Board Rescue
  • Ski Paddling and Surf Ironman
  • Boat Rowing
  • March Past

While we encourage members to compete in all the carnivals on the calendar, carnivals of note are

Scott's Head

The second weekend in November.

Scott's Head is approximately 6 hours drive north from Sydney and hosts a carnival in the third weekend in November. Tamarama traditionally puts in a solid appearance at this carnival, often eclipsing some of the local clubs with our numbers. Driving Instructions

Coogee Open and Branch Masters

The Coogee Open carnival is a small, well run affair, which provides a good warm up before the larger carnivals later in the season.

National

Note that the national titles in being held in Western Australia this year. Any competitors wishing to compete should contact the vice captain ASAP to arrange for equipment to be transferred over.

Club Championships

Tamarama hosts 3 rounds of club championships through the season. These are hosted at 11am on the following Sundays, competitors of all standards are welcome

Results

Ocean Swimming

Tamarama regularly puts in teams for the ocean swims held around Sydney. We are looking for competitors in the following upcoming ocean swims

  • Coogee Wedding Cake Island
  • Bondi to Bronte
If you wish to compete in a team for a specific event send your
  • Name
  • Age on the day of the event
  • Registration number
  • Approximate ability at swimming, and
  • The name of the event you've registered for
